What the client needed

An AI plugin for Adobe After Effects: artists and video creators generate and edit images and short video fragments without leaving their project.

Motion designers lose time every time they leave After Effects for an AI tool and bring the result back. The client wanted AI where the work already happens, with a backend that stays affordable and can change models as the field moves.

What people do with it

  • As a motion designer, I want AI tools inside After Effects, so that I never leave my project to make a frame.
  • As an artist, I want to mask the part of a frame I change, so that the AI edits only what I mean.
  • As the product owner, I want to swap AI models without a plugin update, so that the product keeps up with the field.

Key challenges

What made it hard

    No workflow disruption. The AI tools had to live inside the After Effects interface, not beside it.
  • 02
    Several kinds of input in sync. Images, masks and video frames travel together from the plugin to the models and back.

    Future-proof and affordable. Models change fast and GPUs are expensive: the backend swaps models without a plugin update and never pays for idle hardware.
