An all-in-one email marketing tool on React and Django, running on AWS. Function came first for the client, so the interface used a standard admin template; these screens give it a design.
Business context
What the client needed
PeakMailer runs a business's email marketing in one place: mailing lists with groups and a block list, templates in the company's own brand, campaigns built as sequences of emails that start on a trigger, and the numbers of every campaign.
The client wanted one tool for the whole of email marketing: the lists, the templates, the automated campaigns and their results, instead of a separate service for each.
User stories
What people do with it
- As a shop owner, I want a welcome series to start when someone joins my list, so that new subscribers hear from me without my sending a thing.
- As a marketer, I want templates in our brand, so that every email looks like it comes from us.
- As a marketer, I want to see how many emails were delivered and opened at each step, so that I fix the step that loses people.

These screens are our rebuild of the tool: the campaign's stats from its own screenshot, in a design it did not get at the time, and the other parts from what it does. Scroll or drag inside the frames, or click to open full size.
Key challenges
What made it hard
- 01Campaigns that run themselves. A sequence of emails with waits between them starts when a subscriber joins a list, makes a purchase or reaches a date on the schedule.
- 02Templates that look like the business. A template carries the company's logo, colours and fonts into every email of a sequence.
- 03Numbers for every step. Sent, delivered and opened are counted for each campaign and each email in it.
