Business context
What the client needed
A cinematic site for a South Florida general contractor: full-screen sections, a "watch it rise" timelapse, 38 city pages for local search and an admin the owner edits.
BWI builds custom homes and luxury renovations across Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach. The site had to feel like a finished house, load fast on a phone at a job site and rank in every city the company serves.
User stories
What people do with it
- As a homeowner in Broward, I want a page about the work in my city, so that I know the contractor builds where I live.
- As a homeowner on a phone, I want the site to open at once, so that I see the houses before I lose interest.
- As the owner, I want to add a finished project with its gallery myself, so that the portfolio grows with every house.

Key challenges
What made it hard
- 01A black box on iPhones. Silent clips do not autoplay in Low Power Mode, so the timelapse stayed black. Posters cut from the footage and a timer-driven fallback fixed it.
- 02From 77 and 74 to 100. The loader was the largest paint and the hero pulled a 3840 px image. The loader left the critical path, the styles were inlined and the phone's first download halved.
- 03Taste over tech. A three.js villa that assembled itself on scroll - 1,980 parts - was built and then cut: it read as a game engine, not a photograph.
