What the client needed
Our own concept for a fictional Georgian travel house - a tamada instead of a guide, a printed commission, a draggable 3D qvevri and a WebGL hero - in English and Russian.
Colchis is not a client - it is a demonstration. We invented a travel house and took it from a name to production in one session to show the whole chain: brand, writing, design, WebGL, server, DNS.

What people do with it
- As a traveller, I want each journey laid out day by day, so that I know where I sleep and what is included before I ask.
- As a traveller, I want the supplier's price and the house's commission shown apart, so that I know what I pay for.
- As a visitor on an older phone, I want the site to stay smooth, so that the pictures never stutter.

Key challenges
What made it hard
- 01Never at the cost of frames. The site picks a high, mid or low tier from device signals, keeps measuring, and drops a tier after two seconds under 40 fps.
- 02A black screen on iPhone with two causes: a grain layer counted as scrollable space in Safari, and an intro curtain that stayed up if animation failed.
- 03Fonts that speak Cyrillic. The usual luxury editorial pairings have none, so the type was chosen for both languages.
