Designed, built and on air in about 34 hours - 12 scenes, 3 registers, 4 languages.
Business context
What the client needed
A personal site for an executive assistant and traveller: three registers that re-skin the whole page, a poster that opens into the hero, and four languages.
Two stories on one page: a traveller with 93 countries, Antarctica and Everest behind her, and eleven years as one business owner's right hand. The page switches between them like a magazine changes covers.
User stories
What people do with it
- As an employer, I want the professional side first, so that I see eleven years of executive support at a glance.
- As a reader, I want to switch the page to the traveller's story, so that I meet the person behind the resume.
- As a reader in Paris or Kazan, I want the site in my own language, so that it speaks to me directly.

Key challenges
What made it hard
- 01Pinned scenes under a virtual scroll. Fixed layers attached to a transformed container and slid over other blocks; native scroll with real sticky positioning fixed it.
- 02Photos with little real detail. Their effective resolution was measured and they were restored within limits that keep them truthful.
- 03Stale pages on phones. HTML is now never cached, while hashed static files are cached for a year.
